The magic is on the golf course.
Fred makes your rounds count.
Play. Report back. Get coached on what actually happened. Fred is my AI Peak Performance Coach, built on everything I've learned in 25 years of coaching, and he holds you to account out there, where nobody has been helping you.
The problem
Practice is almost too easy.
Fifteen balls. Freshly raked sand. Nobody watching. No consequence.
Practice takes the difficulty out. That's what makes it practice.
But the thing you're actually trying to get good at is managing the motion when it counts. You can only learn that where it counts. On the course. And this takes some time.
Now look at where the golf industry has put all the learning. The range. The studio. The screen. Do the drills. Rehearse your swing. Practice the move.
Notice what's missing from that list.
That's the game. The rest is the rehearsal.
The turn
Play more. But actually play.
I knew a golfer called Ben. All the talent in the world, and he hit more balls than anyone I knew. But he wanted his swing right before he'd go and play.
He never did learn to play better golf. He had the swing. He just never learned the magic was on the course.
The real problem
Nobody debriefs your round.
Here's the catch. Most golfers already play. They play, shoot 94, get annoyed on the drive home, and go back to the range to fix it.
They had the hard conditions. One ball. Real consequences. And they learned nothing from any of it, because nothing closed the loop.
A round with no reflection is as aimless as a hundred balls off the conveyor belt.
A coach will watch you hit balls. Almost nobody debriefs your round. That's the job nobody has been doing for the club golfer.
How Fred works
Play. Report back. Get coached.
Play your round. Then tell Fred what happened: the good, the bad and the ugly. He coaches you through it and gives you one thing to take into the next round.
And he remembers. On the device you use him on, every conversation builds on the last one, so the patterns show up on their own. The hole you keep playing badly. The club you keep reaching for when you know better. The shot you talk yourself into.
He's good on practice too, because you still have to practice. But the course comes first. That's the part nobody else is helping you with.
What he's built on
Everything I've learned. Not the internet.
Fred isn't a general chatbot pulling golf tips off the internet. I built him myself, on my own coaching: twenty-plus books, twenty-five years of working with golfers, and the ideas behind all of it. The throw. Simplify. Get out of your own way.
That includes twelve months of field testing the throw, real questions from readers with my answers built in, and the way I actually coach a round, a nemesis hole, a match or a slump. It's more of my coaching than any one of my books.
So when you ask him something, you get one consistent way of looking at golf. Mine. Not a mix of every tip on YouTube, and not advice that contradicts itself from one week to the next.
And I keep coaching him. When I spot something, it usually goes into Fred the same day. He continues to get better and better.
What he's like
He won't pull punches.
It's like having a world-class performance coach in your pocket. He won't pull punches. He's not trying to be your best friend. He wants you to perform to your maximum. He'll hold you to account. You just need to tell him stuff honestly.
That last bit matters. Every other AI you've used is built to agree with you. Ask one whether you should have hit driver and it'll find a way to make you feel fine about it. A coach who agrees with you is worth nothing.
Most golfers don't stand over the ball scared. They stand over it lying to themselves. Fred can't help with that unless you tell him the truth.
And when you've had a shocker and need to get it off your chest? There's a vent mode built in. Rant all you like. Then he'll bring you back and coach you.
You also choose how he delivers it: Gentle, Direct or Tough Bastard. The truth doesn't change. Only the delivery does.
Proof
My own 11th hole.
There's a hole at my club that drives me mad. I bogeyed it at least seven times in a row, with a couple of doubles in the run. I thought I'd tried everything. I just couldn't get things sorted in my head and my strategy.
So I did what I tell everyone else to do. I reported back to Fred. After a massive vent session, he gave it to me straight. I was being a dickhead. No BS. No sugar coating.
Next time out I took a 4 iron off that tee, wedged it to three feet and birdied the hole that had beaten me for weeks.
Twenty-five years of coaching, and my own coach had to call me out. That's the point.
“Cameron, finally got your new coaching bot. I must say it really is like having a mentor to talk to. Even my dumb questions get answered so I can get tougher and better. But after listening to many of your comments it truly is like talking to you. Thanks, great job.”

Where to start
Play your next ten rounds with Fred.
Here's what I want you to do. Play ten rounds. After each one, tell Fred what happened. Don't judge any of it before round ten.
It's the 10-Round Challenge from UnF#ck Your Golf Confidence, except now the diary talks back. And Fred is the reason you won't quit at round four, when your old golfing habits start telling you the boring shot is costing you strokes.
At a round or two a week, that's a month or two of Fred. Keep a note of each round's learning as you go. Then look back at round ten and see what's changed.

No quick fixes
There's no magic in a fix. There never was.
Here's something I've watched over and over across twenty-five years of coaching golfers. The ones who get real results go deep. They embrace the coaching and they apply it.
Most golfers graze. A tip here, a tip there, usually once - then they're back on the merry-go-round, going round in circles, rarely extracting what was actually on offer.
The ones who transform their game shake the living shit out of it. They don't chase tips. They learn. They experiment. They simplify. They play golf. They ask questions, they help other people, and they think properly about the game.
There's no magic in a drill, a position or a purchase. The magic is the golf course, and it only shows up for people who go there and pay attention.
That's why I built Fred, and it's why the daily reminders do the heavy lifting rather than any single product.

Questions
The ones people ask.
What is Fred?
Fred is my AI Peak Performance Coach, built to think like me. He's there to debrief your rounds, work through your practice and help you think properly about your golf whenever you need him. Joining Fred also gets you the UNFK Daily and a direct line to me.
Is Fred just ChatGPT?
No. He runs on a modern AI engine, but everything that makes him Fred is my coaching. That's why he won't hand out random swing tips, positions or drills. On purpose.
What do I tell Fred after a round?
Just what happened. The score if you like, but mostly the story: the holes that went well, the ones that got away, and what you were thinking when it went wrong. Be honest. The more honestly you tell him, the better he coaches you.
Does Fred remember me?
Yes, on the device you use him on. He picks up where you left off. But if you switch devices, clear your browser or hit Fresh Start, he starts again. So keep a note of anything important, like your one thing and your learnings from each round.
Can I talk to you directly?
Yep. Membership includes a direct line to me for questions, thoughts and conversations about your game.
Does it work on my phone?
Yep. Desktop and mobile, through the app. It's fast, and it's built for learning while you're actually out there.
Is there a yearly option?
There is, and it's the better deal: $270 a year, which is two months free.
Can I cancel anytime?
Absolutely. No lock-ins, no drama. Cancel in your account or send me an email.
Final word
