Peak performance coaching

Find your throw.

You don't need another lesson. You need someone to help you find the throwing motion you were born knowing how to do.

The throw is where we start. It's not where we stop.

How it works

The problem with traditional instruction

Traditional instruction asks what's wrong with your swing.

Then it hands you positions to fix. Body mechanics to master. Seventeen things to think about during a motion that takes 1.3 seconds.

The golfer who plays their best isn't thinking more. They're thinking less - trusting their natural throwing motion and getting out of their own way.

That's what natural learning does. It works with how human beings actually learn movement, instead of against it.

Instruction adds. Coaching removes.

What we work on

Whatever's in the way.

Yes, we cover the throw. We'll talk it through, and I'll show you how it works for everything. But this is peak performance coaching, and there's so much more.

I've been throwing a long time, and coaching it nearly as long. Wherever your game is stuck, there's a version of this that applies to it.

Your practice plan

How to practice so it carries onto the course. Not generic drills - a plan built around you.

Shotmaking

Throwing for draws, fades, high shots, low shots. Once you understand throwing, you can shape anything.

Fixing the misses

Slices, hooks, thin, fat. Usually something is blocking the throw, and it can be cleared.

More power

Effortless distance through efficient throwing. Stop forcing it with your body and find real speed.

Taking it to the course

Course management, pressure, and playing golf instead of playing swing.

Short game

The same principles around the greens - just smaller throws, with more precision.

Course strategy

Strategy for on-course domination. How to plot your way around and play to your strengths.

Full integration

Practice plans and ideas for full integration, so the throw shows up in every part of your game.

How it works

Five steps. No rebuild.

  1. Join, and send me your swing.
  2. I review it properly, and we talk it through on Zoom.
  3. You get a practice plan built for you.
  4. For 30 days, you can message me on WhatsApp as questions come up.
  5. We follow up on Zoom, and I keep you pointed in the right direction.

Why I can help

They teach positions. I coach throwing.

I'm Cameron Strachan - author of The Golf Lie, and about as far from a traditional golf instructor as you'll find.

No mechanical checklists. No model swing to copy. I help you find the motion you were born knowing how to do, and then I get out of the way.

What sets this apart is that I've not only coached throwing, I've lived it. Every shot, every round, every frustration you'll run into with this approach - I've been there myself.

My job is simple. Find what's actually in the way of your natural throwing motion, and remove it.

What comes out the other side isn't just a better swing. It's a different experience of golf.

“How many people do you know who can honestly say their golf coach changed their life? I first stumbled across Cameron's ideas five years ago and within a year had sorted my golf game. He helped me free my brain as I played. The game became fun again.”

Questions

The ones people actually ask.

Is remote coaching actually effective?

More effective than you'd think, and in some ways better than standing on a range. Traditional instruction needs to see your swing up close because it's obsessing over positions. I'm not. Real coaching is a conversation - it works just as well over video and Zoom, often better, because there's no range distraction and nowhere to hide.

Why $997?

Because it's me, one on one, working on your game. My eyes on your swing, my time on the calls, and a plan built for you. If you want the ideas without the one-on-one, The Golf Lie and Fred are the place to start.

What does VIP access actually mean?

For 30 days, you can message me on WhatsApp about your game. A question after a round, a quick video of a swing, something that's not working. I'll reply as soon as I can. It's not a 24-hour hotline, and it doesn't need to be.

Can I work with you in person?

Yes. In-person coaching usually means one to two days at a golf venue, from $9,997 USD. Tell me about your game through the contact form, and we'll take it from there.

This sounds different from anything I've tried. Is it?

Yes. Most instruction adds - more positions, more checkpoints, more to think about. This removes. We find what's interfering with your natural ability and clear it out. The result feels simpler, freer and more reliable, not because you learned something new but because you stopped doing the thing that was in the way.

Is this only for golfers with swing problems?

No. The swing is usually the starting point because that's where most golfers feel it first. But real performance coaching goes deeper - how you think on the course, how you handle pressure, how you practice, whether you trust yourself when it counts. We go where your game needs to go.

I've read the books. Do I still need coaching?

The books give you the philosophy. Coaching applies it to you specifically - your swing, your patterns, your particular blocks. One conversation can unlock things months of reading can't, because we're working on your game rather than a general framework.

Will it hold up under pressure on the course?

That's exactly what it's built for. Range golf and course golf are different animals, and most instruction works on the range then falls apart when it matters. This is built around performance - trusting your swing, committing to decisions, and playing freely when there's something at stake.

I've tried everything. Why would this be different?

Because everything you've tried has probably been adding. More information, more positions, more things to monitor mid-swing. This is the opposite. Less is more, always - and for a golfer who's been overloaded for years, removing things works faster than adding ever did.

How is this different from a normal golf lesson?

A lesson looks at your swing and tells you what to fix. This looks at your whole game and finds what's in the way. No positions, no model swing, no rebuild. We work with how you already move, and remove the interference stopping that from coming out.

Do I need to be a certain standard?

No. This works at every level. What matters isn't your handicap - it's whether you're ready to stop overcomplicating it and try a different way.

Ready to find your throw?

Your natural throwing motion is still in there. It's just buried under years of instruction that taught you to fight your own biology.

Let's dig it out.
